Learnly

For teachers and tutors · Aligned to Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Mathematics (4MA1)

See the gaps in your class before you teach the topic.

Create a class, share the code, and every answer your students give updates a live view of what they have actually mastered — so you plan the lesson from evidence instead of a hunch. Every question is aligned to the Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Mathematics (4MA1) specification. Free for individual students and teachers.

No card needed. Free for individual students and teachers. Students can sign up on their own — a class code is optional.

How it works

Plan. Diagnose. Assign.

Plan from evidence, not a hunch

Open the class view before you write the lesson and see which topics are cold. Every question is mapped to a specific objective in the Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Mathematics (4MA1) specification, so the plan matches the paper your students actually sit.

Know who is stuck, and on what

Every answer updates a live per-skill estimate. A wrong answer is traced back to the sub-skill that caused it, and the class view names the students who need you this week — plus the misconception behind the mistake the whole set keeps making.

Set it once; it marks itself

Create a class, share the 8-character code, set a goal for the term. Practice adapts to each student and is marked automatically — no worksheet to collect, no pile to take home.

Who it is for

Same app, different lenses.

Teachers and tutors first — students and parents get their own view of the same data. There is no school or institute tier yet, so there is nothing to sell you; individual teachers and tutors start free today. Running a centre, or want a straight answer before you put this in front of a class? Ask the founder directly.

For teachers

See who needs what, before the bell rings.

A live class view, students flagged by risk, and a misconceptions report that shows why the same mistake keeps coming back.

For tutors

Every student you tutor, in one view.

Create a class, share the code, and track each student's mastery per topic. Free, no card, no minimum.

For students

Open the app and know what to do next.

Today's topic, today's gap, today's question. Sign up on your own — you do not need a class code or a teacher.

For parents

See where your child is actually stuck.

A weekly email that names the topics and the trend, not just the score.

Every served question is mapped to a specific objective in the Pearson Edexcel 4MA1 specification and must carry an approval status before a student can see it. The authoring pipeline includes deterministic maths, structural, and coherence checks, but historic approved questions do not all carry a per-item verification record. Approval is not independent certification, and no human marker sits in that path — see how it earns trust.

Our promise

A serious teaching tool that respects your time.

We are not trying to gamify anyone's way to an A. We are trying to find the topic a class is weakest on, give each student the next question that actually moves the needle, and give you one screen that says where Monday should go. That's it. No streaks-as-hostage-taking. No notification spam. No dashboard you have to decode before it tells you anything.

Get started

Start with one class, this week.

Setting up takes about a minute: create the class, share the code, and the first gaps show up as soon as your students start answering. Free for individual students and teachers.

Built and open — not yet proven. Everything described here works in production, and no school or class is using it yet. Where we actually stand.
